01-05-06: Stuff happened last year that I'd like to talk about, but first a message... To those out there in the reading audience who were surprised by the announcement of the Government spying on the public without its knowledge, allow me to say this. Unless you missed the USA PATRIOT Act as well as the events of the last half century due to some unbelievably unfortunate events, you have no reason to play dumb about this. The Government has been spying on the public since before Nixon and will continue to due so until some time in the very distant future. This is a well known fact. Like "Area 51," it is a truth hidden (And I use the term Painfully loosely) out in the open. If you were shocked or taken aback by this, you are a fool. Thank you. Back to the show. 2005 was a relatively hard year for everyone. Natural Disasters abound from quakes and hurricanes to FEMA and the indescribably bad management of many many situations here and abroad. All and all, '05 sucked. But, good things did happen too. My sister had a kid - a baby boy. It made me happy as I'm a uncle again for the fifth time. Sony fans got their PSP's, Nintendo fans got their DS, XBox fans got their 360's and the latest Next Gen gaming console race got off to a good start. Hell, I even got to date my best friend (And main crush) for a short time. That made me one hella-happy artist guy even though it didn't last. I know that many a miserable thing has happened but it takes only a moment or two to think of something good. All I've seen on the news was Year in Review shows dwelling on the bad stuff and not enough on the good. It made what was a generally bad year seem like the End of Days. People, just take a sec and look for the good. If you don't, I can guarantee you 2006 will suck royal and you will only have yourselves to blame. Of course, that's just what I think.
